Cheng Jheng High School recently collaborated with the Quanta Cultural and Educational Foundation to host the exhibition "Embracing Van Gogh: Exploring the Palette of Life." This event offered young people undergoing correctional education not only the chance to immerse themselves in artistic experiences but also the opportunity to feel Van Gogh's profound love for life through the vivid colors and dynamic brushstrokes of his works. The exhibition inspired reflection on the dignity and sorrow of life while fostering an appreciation for the richness and beauty of the natural world.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the event also showcased the achievements of the Cultural and Creative Multimedia Design Class, organized by the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor. Students demonstrated their skills in microfilm creation and post-production, further enriching the exhibition experience.

At the presentation ceremony, distinguished guests attended to show their support, including Executive Director Xu Huijia of the Quanta Cultural and Educational Foundation, Section Chief Huang Yixun from the Taoyuan-Hsinchu-Miaoli Branch of the Workforce Development Agency, Ministry of Labor, Section Chief Wang Zhiming from the Ministry of Justice's Agency of Corrections, Section Chief Xu Xiaoqing from the Hsinchu County Government’s Bureau of Education, Judge Lin Yuting from the Taichung District Court, and various probation officers from district courts across the region. Their presence celebrated this remarkable cultural event.

The Quanta Cultural and Educational Foundation has been implementing its "Arts in Education" initiative in Hsinchu County for 13 years. Cheng Jheng High School joined this program five years ago, participating in exhibitions such as The Three Youths of the Taiwan Art Exhibition (2020), Fun with Song Dynasty Culture (2021), Finding Beauty in the Details: A Stunning New Perspective (2022), A Journey of Brush and Ink: Exploring Eastern Civilization (2023), and now, Embracing Van Gogh: Exploring the Palette of Life (2024). These exhibitions have integrated arts education and guided tours into the campus environment, enabling students in rehabilitative education to cultivate aesthetic appreciation and artistic literacy.

The theme of this year's exhibition centers on Van Gogh, delving into his passion for painting and profound concern for life. Divided into three main sections—"Entering Van Gogh's World," "Tracing Van Gogh's Artistic Journey," and "Van Gogh Speaks Through His Paintings"—the exhibition invites viewers to explore the brief yet radiant life of one of the 19th century's most influential artists.

Embracing Van Gogh: Exploring the Palette of Life will be open at Cheng Jheng High School until January 24, 2025. We warmly invite you to join us in appreciating Van Gogh's masterful exploration of form and his vibrant symphony of colors and lines, as well as to experience the artist's heartfelt connection with nature and life.
